Microsoft is making attempts to popularize the Windows store by simplifying the app making to a non-technical level.

The latest release of App Studio allows users who don’t have prior programming or coding knowledge to submit an app in less than 10 minutes. App Studio is a free, online app creation tool that allows you to quickly build Windows and Windows Phone apps. You can easily and quickly create, test and share your apps. If you are more advanced user or want to understand what is behind your app, then App Studio can generate your source code that is ready for Visual Studio.

Traditionally, users (coders) would need to install Visual Studio and tap out reams of code, but with Microsoft’s new super simple step-by-step process, you can build an app using a series of templates. Users do need to create an account before using the platform, but as you can imagine the process is also simple, straight forward and it takes only a couple of minutes.

The app template is simple and will doubtfully allow you to create an app that will make you a lot of money, but it allows you to get started in app making. The cool thing is that you can “code” your apps and they will be universally available for Windows running devices and even the Raspberry Pi 2.
